Wearable Visual Intelligence.

Wearable imaging devices (e.g., Hololens, Magic Leap, etc) allow to seamlessly acquire images of the world from the perspective of the person moving in an environment (First Person Vision). Given their intrinsic mobility and the ability to acquire user-related information, those egocentric vision systems have to deal with the understanding of a continuously evolving environments.

The main aim of the research in this field is to provide those systems an effective and robust Visual Intelligence. In this talk, we will discuss the challenges and opportunities offered by wearable vision systems by covering the historical background and seminal works.

Technological tools (including devices and algorithms) which can be used to analyze first person visual data as well open problems will be discussed.
